Beyond the Cameras: Casting Team, Behind-the-Scenes & Exclusive Clips

“Among the Chosen Few”

Cream Of the Crops
Early on the very first morning of filming, Matt from the production crew told me I was “the cream of the crop.” He was impressed and even wondered how I had been selected for House Hunters, knowing how competitive it is to make it onto the show.
That was one of the first compliments of my filming experience—and one I’ll always remember.
Early on the first morning of filming, Matthew from the production crew told us we were “the cream of the crop.” That comment meant a lot to me because I already knew just how difficult it was to make it onto House Hunters.
Application after application is submitted, and not every family makes the final cut. Before my own filming experience, I had already been working with the casting team and pitching families for the show.
I pitched three different families, and the casting team also gave me another family to work with in the Charlotte area to see if we could develop their story for the show. Some of those opportunities did not make it all the way to filming—but the casting team and I stayed in communication throughout the process.
Then came my golden family—the family whose story was selected and ultimately brought this incredible experience together.
I want to personally thank the HGTV casting and production teams, my girl Roxy Fields, Jeremy Joel, and everyone behind the scenes who helped make this opportunity possible.
What makes the journey even more special is that I was invited back again for another opportunity with the show.
Sometimes you don't see everything happening behind the scenes—the applications, the families pitched, the conversations, the waiting, and the opportunities that don't work out. But every part of the journey can lead you exactly where you're supposed to be.
Thank you to my golden family and everyone who believed in me and helped make this journey possible.

One of my favorite moments from this entire experience was Mr. Willis asking for his orange juice. I was on it!
Whenever Mr. Willis comes over, I already know to have his organic oranges and orange juice ready. It may seem like a small thing, but for me, it is a simple way of showing my love, appreciation, and respect for a truly honorable man.
Mr. Willis has served our country as a United States Marine, and he has spent his life being a devoted husband, father, family man, and someone who is always willing to help others.
He and his wife have shared more than 40 years of marriage, and I have had the opportunity to see the love and commitment he has for his family.
So when Mr. Willis asks me for his orange juice, you better believe Tanisha is going to make sure he gets it! 🍊😂
That's my little gift of love to him.
Sometimes it is the smallest moments behind the cameras that mean the most. For me, this wasn't just about filming a television show. It was about family, friendship, laughter, service, and honoring the people who have spent their lives giving to others.
Thank you, Mr. Willis, for your service to our country, for being a wonderful husband and father, and for always being willing to lend a helping hand.
And yes, Mr. Willis—your orange juice will always be waiting! 🍊❤️

🎬 ANOTHER KODAK MOMENT — MRS. WILLIS BEHIND THE SCENES!
A special behind-the-scenes moment with Mrs. Donna Willis during our kitchen scene while filming HGTV’s House Hunters.
Some of the best memories happened when the cameras were rolling—and sometimes in those little moments in between! ❤️

In this behind-the-scenes clip, Nicole Willis and her brother, Nicholas Willis, are on set filming the breakfast scene—and these two have some amazing acting skills!
Their brother-and-sister chemistry comes across so naturally. They brought personality, laughter, and great energy to the scene, making it one of those special moments you just have to capture.

My House Hunters Experience
Being part of House Hunters was an experience I will never forget. After more than two decades in real estate, I have helped buyers through just about every kind of situation, but this was completely different. This time, cameras were following the journey, and I had to balance being the Realtor, the professional, the friend, and sometimes the voice of reason.
One of the most interesting parts was juggling all the different personalities and opinions. When family and friends are involved in such a major decision, everybody has something to say! I had to listen to each perspective while still helping my buyer stay focused on what mattered most—the right home, the right decision, and what would work for their future.
What made the experience even more personal was having my own home used as a studio setting during filming. My home represents so much of who I am, and many of my original art pieces were displayed throughout the space. Seeing my artwork in the background of a television production was almost surreal. It brought together two sides of me that people don't always see at the same time—Tanisha the Realtor and Tanisha the artist and creator.
There were also plenty of behind-the-scenes moments that made the experience fun. Filming television is very different from simply watching it! There are long days, retakes, conversations, laughter, waiting, and those unexpected moments that become some of your favorite memories. I enjoyed getting to know the production crew and seeing everything that goes into creating a television episode.
But the experience didn't end when filming wrapped.
The icing on the cake came when I was selected for an Agent Spotlight in the October 2026 House Hunters newsletter, and our show was also highlighted in the October newsletter. Knowing that the newsletter reaches a large audience made that recognition incredibly special to me.
I walked away from this experience with more than a television credit. I walked away with memories.
It reminded me that sometimes the different pieces of your life have a way of coming together at exactly the right moment. Real estate, family, friendship, television, entrepreneurship, creativity, and my art all came together in one unforgettable experience.
After all these years of helping other people find the place they call home, it was pretty amazing to have my own home become part of the story too.
This wasn't just House Hunters. This was a little piece of my life captured on television.

What Made This Show So Unique?

🎬 BEHIND THE SCENES: BEFORE THE CREW ARRIVES
Setting Up the Show Before the Show” i

When your home is being used as a studio and filming location, there are countless things that have to happen before the cameras ever start rolling.
Furniture has to be moved. Rooms have to be cleaned, polished, organized, rearranged, and prepared. Spaces have to be cleared so the production crew can bring in cameras, lighting, sound equipment, and everything else needed to transform a home into a working television set.
I want to give a very special shout-out and thank you to Dominic N. Clements for helping me get it done.
Dominic helped me organize, move, clean, set up, and prepare my home before the production crew arrived. Having that extra set of hands and support made a tremendous difference.
People get to see the finished show, but they don't always see the work that happens before the scenes.
Dominic, thank you for helping me get my home camera-ready before the crew ever walked through the door. I truly appreciate you being part of this experience and my behind-the-scenes story. 🎥🎬
